Mother Courage and Her Children

For this production I constructed the costumes for both Yvette Pottier and Mother Courage. The designer and I discussed creating a strong contrast between the two characters garments. With Yvette we wanted to make her as alluring as possible, taking great pride in her presentation, with the costume still showing distress and age especially at the hems. For Mother Courage we wanted to have a more androgynous look while also being utilitarian and enabling free range of motion.
