About Kimberly
Costumer
Over the course of my career, I’ve constructed costumes from the first stitch, draped garments directly from designer renderings, and crafted specialty pieces—including props and puppets—that bring moments of joy to the stage. What I love most is building pieces that actors are excited to perform in—work that supports their character, movement, and confidence.

Education
2008-2012
Minnesota State University, Moorhead
Moorhead, MN
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts with emphases in directing, acting and theater tech from Minnesota State University Moorhead. In addition to developing leadership skills as a directing student, I specialized in costume construction, fittings, and wardrobe coordination—ensuring character needs, design continuity, and production deadlines were met. The program provided a strong foundation in script analysis, stage composition, and actor collaboration, while also giving me practical experience working hands-on with designers and technicians across costume, props, and scenic departments. My work with the Straw Hat Players summer theatre company expanded this skill set in a fast-paced environment, reinforcing my ability to manage resources, collaborate with creative teams, and support the visual storytelling of each production from concept to final performance.
